_{Smoking, it's evil, right?} x3

Here's my newest comic, for everyone who likes Scott Pilgrim and/or random stuff! xD

So I came up with this together with my sister, when I read SP volume 2 and there was this panel of Neil sitting on the couch playing DS, but I thought he was holding a cup of hot chocolate (xD) because it looked like there was smoke coming up from the DS (it was actually supposed to be light from the screen, I guess). We thought "what if Neil's DS was actually smoking xD" and because I like Scott Pilgrim and random stuff I drew a comic about it.

I used the comic book for reference; the first and second panel are re-drawn versions of Bryan Lee O'Malley's original art, but the rest is all mine

So now I'll explain the joke I guess? xD
Fire temple: Just assuming Neil was playing Zelda ... XD

Anyway. I guess he's creating too much friction rubbing that DS pen against the touchscreen, causing a near-fire XD
Some people really rub it hard against the screen, eh? I remember when my dad was helping my sister with her Zelda game and he went crazy with the pen against the screen. That was so much fun and it didn't even make it easier x3

Or maybe Neil's got a 3DS and that's just how it goes ...

I noticed that in this scene, Neil was actually wearing a blank T-shirt, so I took the liberty to draw something on it. I wanted to write something, but I didn't know what, that's why I ended up writing "IDK" as you can see on the drawing x3

Also: This is my first time drawing Astroboy! (And also my first time drawing a bass and a guitar ...)
I think my fav panel is the one where Neil "explains himself" because I really like how the art turned out in that one.
I also like in the last panel how Stills is all "whatever" XD

About the "WT*" in the second panel: In the SP movie you can't say F*** (I just don't like cursing) so they censor it with a black square covering the character (aka Julie)'s mouth. x3 (Censoring herself is Julie's superpower!!) So it's really supposed to say WTF ... Only I censored it with a black square because you know. x3 Reference.

I'm very happy with how this comic turned out. It looks really good, if I do say so myself I used this pen that I love and hate, I love it because it's good, I hate it because it smears a lot. I took away the stains in the computer though.

I went a little bit crazy with the thick lines in some panels, but I think it looks OK. I also did some stuff that O'Malley doesn't normally do, like colored backgrounds and stuff, but I thought "hey, this is my comic! I already mimicked O'Malley's style, so why not add my personal touch to it "
So I drew the lines traditionally, with pens, and colored it digitally. I think this must be the prettiest digital comic I've done yet. I really had a lot of fun coloring it
Oh, and sorry about the small text, but I thought, the text in the comic books is pretty small, so here you go.

So that's all for me I guess Hope it wasn't too weird for your taste ... But anyway, at least I'm happy with it Comments are welcome
